« Incomplete », mixed painting on canvas 65x54x5 cm

This painting is another inspiration after Brancusi’s sculpture « the prayer »which was his first commissioned piece as a professional artist. Is as part of a memorial display for a young woman’s deceased loved one. The story is a very sad one but Brancusi wanted to create a woman in her prayers more than a woman in pain sitting on the ground.

My painting reveals an incompletion as many of us feel… can be related to a loss of someone dear to us, or just us feeling incomplete in a way or another !

The prayers and having compassion and love in us, will help us to forget of this incompleteness even if there is a mark for eternity.
